Nick Dandolos, widely known by his nickname The Greek, is a legendary gambler and socialite. For his magnificent wins and equally crushing losses, he has earned the title of King of Gambling.

This story is about the most unsuccessful robber in the history of the United States of America. He worked in the state of California, served many years in prison and then mysteriously disappeared. His name Dick Fellows ! 

He was born in Kentucky in the mid-1840s and was given the name George Brittain Little at birth. He studied law for a time, but succumbed to the vice of drunkenness and moved to California in the late 1860s, where he took the name Dick Fellows. He tried raising hogs near Los Angeles, but he failed as a farmer, instead Dick took up robbing stagecoaches.

Jean Lafitte was the most famous French pirate who operated in the Gulf of Mexico in the early 19th century. He left a vivid trace in the history of New Orleans.

The sight was really not for the faint-hearted. Behind the glass there was a creature that did not resemble a mermaid (as we used to imagine - half-woman, half-fish). It was some kind of hybrid, with the upper part resembling a humanoid creature and the lower part - a fish.
