The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced that the next matches under the auspices of the organisation will begin with a minute's silence in memory of those killed and affected by the effects of Hurricane Dana.
Earlier on Wednesday, Valencia asked the RFEF to postpone their Spanish Cup first round match against Parla due to the effects of the hurricane and flooding in the region. The match between Parla and Valencia is due to take place on 30 October in the suburbs of Madrid.
Spanish authorities said that due to unfavourable weather conditions affected the east and south of Spain, due to the rains the rivers went out of their banks. According to media reports, the greatest damage was caused to Valencia and Albacete, at least 50 people died.
