Historically, it has been the case that most of the most important leaders of states had medium to small growth. Take the same Stalin - only 167 cm, and he made an immeasurable contribution to world history. Lenin, who brought the Bolsheviks to power, and was even lower by 2 centimeters. But how are things now? Let’s see!
The situation here is quite interesting. Statistically, the inhabitants of Asia are significantly lower than the Europeans, but the heads of Asian states are clearly against the statistics. But let’s start from the beginning.
Vladimir Putin is one of the lowest leaders so far. Its height is about 165 cm, but a number of sources for some reason point to the figure 170 cm. The exact growth of the head of state is difficult to understand, because most pictures are taken by skilled photographers at the right angle. North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-il, has almost the same growth. Nevertheless, there are leaders below Putin.
Ireland’s president, Michael Higgins, is perhaps the lowest head of state at present. His height is 160 cm, but some sources say 163 cm. However, this man’s fame goes far beyond his homeland, and Higgins is considered one of the best politicians of our time. This popularity is mainly due to the fact that he is very different from other politicians and behaves as if he were a normal citizen of his country.
Now move up. President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky is 170 cm tall, as well as the head of New Zealand Jacinda Ardne. China’s leader, Xi Jinping, is five centimeters taller than them, and the British prime minister is just as tall.
From there it is even more interesting: the height of the head of Japan is 178 cm. By the standards of this country, Shinzo Abe is considered a tall man, although we would call his height average.
Let’s climb even higher. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenka at the moment is 188 cm tall. On this occasion there was a funny case: when this figure was mentioned by journalists, Lukashenka got angry. He stated that his height was 190 cm. The problem is that the Belarusian leader does not take into account one fact: with age, a person will decrease in height, however he or she doesn’t resist it.
But Lukashenka is not the highest leader. US President Donald Trump in height reaches 191 cm, but a number of sources still say the figure is 188 cm. Who is right - unclear. I can only assume that the situation here is the same as last time: after all, Tram is already over 70.
Anyway, and the leader of today’s list remains out of competition, whatever changes we make. Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić can boast a huge height - 199 centimeters. Jokes aside - when Vucic meets with other politicians, he has to bend over backwards to talk. In many photos you can see that the Serbian leader lowers his neck and shoulders, holding his back in a compressed state. It is clear why he does this, the main thing is that it does not harm the spine.
That’s how it is with the rise of world leaders.
