Gladiator II director Ridley Scott will release two limited edition cuvées from his Mas des Infermieres vineyard in Provence in November.
The label of the red wine Caracalla and the white Geta will feature Scott's drawings of the Roman emperors Caracalla and Geta, who ruled Rome after Emperor Commodus, who became one of the main characters in the first film.
‘I like to create a ‘story’ for each bottle through artwork. I'm constantly sketching, as I was a painter and set designer before I became a director,’ says Ridley Scott.
In addition, a limited batch of magnums of Ombre de Lune red wine, renamed Imperatores on the occasion of the premiere, has been released from Ridley Scott's vineyard in Luberon.
