Film studio Sony Pictures will release the third instalment of the ‘Jumanji’ franchise in late 2026. The film is scheduled to premiere on 11 December, Deadline reppo reported.
The picture will be directed by Jake Kazdan, the author of the previous two films in the series. Roles in the new film plan to play Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan, they are now negotiating their participation in the project.
Working on the threequel as producers will be Matt Tolmack, Johnson, Danny Garcia, Hiram Garcia and Kazdan. What the plot of the tape will turn out to be, it is not yet known.
The original film ‘Jumanji’ with Robin Williams was released in 1995 and became a hit. It told about a group of children who start playing a mysterious board game that turns game plots into reality.
Kazdan shot a remake of the picture: in 2017, the film ‘Jumanji: The Call of the Jungle’ with Johnson in the title role was released. It collected at the world box office $ 962.5 million. In 2019, Kazdan presented the film ‘Jumanji: The Next Level’, which earned another 801.6 million.
