Tajikistan has banned playing GTA and Counter Strike. The Dushanbe City Department of the Interior Ministry reported this in its Telegram channel.
According to the expertise of the Ministry of Culture, these games contain elements of violence, cruelty, murder and robbery.
‘Analyses by law enforcement agencies also show that, unfortunately, some young people and teenagers, regularly engrossed in such games, find themselves under their negative influence and commit various crimes,’ the MIA Department said.
In this regard, the Department of Internal Affairs urged citizens to control children and prevent them from such games. The region will also conduct regular raids at computer clubs to enforce the bans.
In 2017, Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali banned minors from visiting entertainment centres and computer clubs at night.
