Lucy Boynton (‘Bohemian Rhapsody’) and Sophie Turner (‘Game of Thrones’) claim the role of Lara Croft in the multi-episode adaptation of the game franchise Tomb Raider.  Who else will be auditioning, it is unknown. Previously, the role of the heroine on the big screen performed Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander.

The showrunner for the series based on Tomb Raider is Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the creator of ‘Mean Girls.’ ‘Lara Croft means a lot to me, as it does to a lot of people, and I can't wait to go on this adventure.

The franchise is based on a series of games of the same name released from 1996 to 2003. The first film adaptation of the adventure shooter starring Angelina Jolie was released in 2001. Two years later, it was followed by a sequel, and in 2018 the franchise was rebooted, taking on the lead role of Alicia Vikander.
