In addition, it also markets a wide range of related software, networking solutions, third-party digital content, and peripherals.
The company was initially started from Steve Job’s parents’ garage in Los Altos, California. Apple has a variety of products that includes iPhone, iPad, iPod, electric vehicles, iCloud services, Apple TV, Apple Watch, etc. The company is currently headed by Tim Cook. Apple is the world’s largest information systems and second largest smartphone manufacturer. Apple mobiles hold 14 percent of market share.
Samsung
Samsung is a South Korean OEM which was founded 78 years ago by Lee Byung-Chul. The company is headquartered in Samsung Town, Seoul, South Korea. At the start, the company was focused on trade export, selling vegetables, fruits, and dried Korean fish to Manchuria and Beijing. And, later the company expanded its product portfolio and become one of the top consumer electronics company. Samsung mobiles continue to dominate the global smartphone market. The company ships approximately 400 million mobile phones per year.
Microsoft
The name Microsoft means ‘microcomputer’ and ‘software’ was commenced in 1975 by Bill Gates and Paul Allen. The company is headquartered in Microsoft Redmond Campus, Redmond, Washington, USA. At the start, with just a few resources, Bill Gates and Paul Allen started their company from an available garage space. Microsoft product portfolio includes Windows OS series, Skype, MS Office, Servers, Dynamics, Visual Studio, Azure, Xbox, MSDN, MSN, Outlook, Bing, OneDrive, TechNet, and Xbox Live. At present, the Windows Phone has merely 2 percent of mobile OS market share. Microsoft is lagging its way in the mobiles segment even with the acquisition of Nokia mobiles.

The Intel Corporation was started by Gordon Moore and Robert Noyce back in 1968. The name Intel is an acronym for ‘INTegrated circuits and Electronics’. The company is located in Santa Clara, California, United States. The company manufactures chips which are used in PCs and laptops from the vendors like Samsung, Apple, HP, Lenovo, etc. Intel manufactures hardware products such as Bluetooth chipsets, motherboard chipsets, flash memory, microprocessor, mobile phones, SSDs, CPUs, and network interface controller.
HP
The Hewlett-Packard aka HP was founded back in 1939 by William Hewlett and David Packard. The company is currently headquartered in Paulo Alto, California. The company was initially started from the one-car garage. The company markets the hardware, services, financing, and software. HP offers a wide range of PC and laptops. The company has premium HP Laptops.
