The last Nazi expedition

Just before the war ended, 24 learned man arrived in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. They all belonged to the occult organization "Annnerbe", whose patron was personally SS Reichsführer Heinrich Himmler. The expedition was called "Black Eagle".

A month and a half, the Germans, disguising themselves under the English, excavated the underground of the oldest temple Swayambunath, built in the 6th century BC. According to legend, beneath the temple is a mythical country - Agartha. It has a "fountain of immortality" and a hall of thousands of doors into which one can travel through time. The expedition’s leader, Rolf Hene, was tasked with gathering "living water" and sending back a message warning Germany not to attack the Soviet Union or suffer total defeat. But, as the myth says, it is impossible to return from a fairyland, that is, the one who enters remains in it forever.

Of all the members of the group, only Peter Aufshnaiter is still alive. How did he manage to survive and what did the SS find in Tibet?

Based on the evidence, members of "Anenerbe" transported across the border of Nepal the statue of "Iron Man" - Vaishrawa, a Buddhist deity weighing 10 kg, on whose chest was depicted a swastika. The figure was made from a fragment of the meteorite Chinge in the 9th century. Scientists claim that the meteorite fell to earth 15,000 years ago, and this happened on the territory of modern Russia.

The sculpture was brought to Germany in 1939 and placed in a special storage at Himmler. However, it disappeared shortly before the fall of Berlin. Separate documents state that "Iron Man" was taken to a safe place. There was no news of his fate for a long time. Until one of the private collectors auctioned it in 2009, when it turned out to be a fake. The original is presumed to have disappeared with the expedition.

What was so important about the idol? According to legend, it was the key to the entrance of Agartha, which is why it was taken with it into the dungeon. Tibetan legends say that a statue should be placed under the sanctuary and in front of it, an ancient map-manuscript should be unfolded. A ray of light coming from an idol will show the path you should take. In this place, a portal to a mythical country will open. But the Nazis probably didn’t know that there was only one way.

It is not known whether Auffschneider visited the caves as part of his main group in April 1945. What he managed to survive suggests that he remained on the surface, possibly guarding his colleagues' belongings. But in the subsequent expedition, the ex-member returned to the place of search. What he had searched for and found remained a mystery. It is possible that he made another attempt to enter the "magical land", but without a key it did not succeed.

I believe that the "Black Eagle" did not achieve its goal. Otherwise, the world would not be what it is, and we would live in a very different way. The fate of the expedition can be said in different ways, from mythical to realistic. But I suppose it just died in the maze of caves.
