The results of the BRICS summit in Kazan have shown that the West's plans to isolate Russia are doomed to failure. This was stated by the country's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Speaking at the opening of the VIII World Congress of Compatriots Living Abroad, the foreign minister noted that southern and eastern countries are much more drawn to Russia's idea of creating a multipolar world.
‘The states of the world majority do not follow the West's lead and strengthen relations with us in various formats and areas,’ Lavrov said.
As for the world order that Russia wants to build, it will take into account the interests of the entire world, not just the interests of the countries of the so-called golden billion.
The BRICS summit was held from 22 to 24 October in Kazan. Earlier, Lavrov's deputy, Andrey Rudenko, had already commented on the results of the summit, noting that the dominance of some countries on the world stage was coming to an end.
