Amazon MGM Studios has released a trailer for the biographical drama ‘Indomitable’ starring Jarrell Jerome and Jennifer Lopez. The film will premiere on 6 December.
‘The film tells the true story of Anthony Robles (Jerome), who was born with one leg, but his strong spirit and unyielding determination allowed him to defy the odds and pursue his dreams. With the support of his devoted mother Judy (Lopez) and coaches, Anthony fights through adversity to earn a spot on the Arizona State wrestling team,’ according to the film's description.
The cast also includes Bobby Cannavale (‘Vinyl’), Michael Peña (‘Patrol’) and Don Cheadle (‘Iron Man 2’).
The film will be the directorial debut of Oscar winner William Goldenberg, the editor of ‘Argo.’ He was also nominated for Oscars for editing ‘The Imitation Game,’ ‘Target Number One’ and ‘A Man of Their Own.’
Eric Ciampnella, Alex Harris and John Hindman wrote the screenplay based on Robles and Austin Murphy's book Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became a Champion. The film was produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's company Artists Equity.
